Twenty-two-year-old hottie Paula Creamer maintained a 178-point lead in the standings to make the 2009 United States Solheim Cup team following her sixth place tie at the Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi. Creamer's three round total of 7-under-par 209 (69-68-72) left her six strokes behind the leading score of winner Cristie Kerr who improved her second-place United States Solheim Cup points standing to 246 points after her victory. Paula Creamer holds the lead with 424 points.
The 2009 Solheim Cup will take place Aug. 21-23 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. The top ten players on The Solheim Cup points list make the team, as well as two captain's picks.
